You didn't see any activity on this blog since last June. I first get married beginning of July, then was on vacation in the South of France and then recently moved to the US in the Washington DC area.
I now have Internet at home since yesterday and I'm ready to go on with all these exciting news and trends about Data Services and Data Access in general.
I'm the CTO Data Services for Progress Software. Prior to Progress, I was the CTO and founder of Xcalia, an ISV focused on delivering solution for Data Access in SOA. I’m a member of the OASIS SDO2 expert group, a member of the OpenSOA DAS expert group and a member of the JDO2, EJB3, JPA2 and SDO 3 expert groups within the Java Community Process (JCP). Xcalia has been acquired by Progress Software (Nasdaq: PRGS) in February 2008.
I’m in the IT since 1985 and prior to Xcalia I’ve been a programmer in large organizations like Air France (French airline), project manager at Elf (French oil company), research engineer at Alcatel (Telco Manufacturer), CEO of my own consulting company (1989-1996), Technical Lead at Business & Decision (who acquired my company) and Technical Director of Versant (ODBMS vendor) in SEMEA. I’m graduated from Paris 6 University (BSc, MSc, DEA which used to be a French diploma between MSc and PhD).
